WE GOT THE HOUSE!!! Yay!! We finally closed on our home on Tuesday the 14th, it was cutting it a little close cause our apartment lease was up on Wednesday and we were all moved into our house on Thursday!It was such a crazy week because Monday-Thursday Jonathan and I were working as well as trying to move! But it's so worth it! We love our new home, located in the cute little town of Star, Idaho! It's just a fifteen-ish min. drive from work, so that works out nice. And we just have so many little projects we want to do to update the house to be our style! We will hopefully be getting new appliances and more furniture once we get back from Georgia! So I plan on posting some before and after photos! And my wonderful mom will be coming to visit hopefully very soon to help me be all creative and thrifty! I'm so excited! We have so much growing room with this house and I am so grateful we have been blessed with this opportunity! Thank you hubby for making it all happen, you are amazing!

Baby Avery is here!!!!!
Well Sunday December 19, 2010 at 12:58am Avery Paige Cushman was born!!! I had the play by play via text & picture messaging and sadly was not able to be there, but everything went well, Brittany and baby were healthy and Avery weighed 6lbs 7oz. I can't wait to meet her when we arrive in GA at 8:55pm on Christmas Eve!!! I'm so excited that my big brother and sweet sister-in-law are finally parents, I know they'll be great at it! I'll see you guys sooooooooon!!!!

Thanksgiving, Eldredge Style
So this was my first Thanksgiving as an Eldredge, and my 4th Thanksgiving in a row away from my family... so, sorry Cushmans, I have been a "family hater" when it comes to Thanksgivings lately, but it's not entirely my fault!! Plus, we're coming for Christmas, so ya gotta give & take a little with a long-distance relationship! Anyway, it was a very fun Thnaksgiving this year, and I felt like I had so much to be grateful for, namely an amazing husband who is so perfect for me and makes me feel like a Queen, last year at Thanksgiving, I could have never predicted that I would be in the place I am now, and I couldn't be more thankful!
So we started the festivities off by going over to my in-laws house the day before and helped make some of the goodies. We decided to stay the night there to make it feel kind of like Christmas Eve. In the morning, Jonathan and I got in a little pre-feast workout at their home gym (that way I didn't feel as guilty when I pigged out later). Then we all got ready and headed to the Grandparents house in Ontario, Oregon (just about an hour away). All of Jonathan's Dad's brothers and sisters gather there for Turkey Day, along with all of their children, so there was somewhere between 40 and 50 people gathered there, it was crazy! There was a ridiculous amount of delicious food, which was amazing, and then we all just stuck around for the evening playing games, eating, making crafts, eating, watching football, eating, and then more eating! It was a great day, one of which I definitely paid the concequences of eating too much food that I'm not supposed to, but it was totally worth it ;)

A Waiting Game....
As many of you may know, I am VERRRRYY impatient. And in this case I am not any different. This is a house, and I want it, baaaad! But, I am learning more and more how to try and be patient. We've put in an offer for the house, but months later we are still waiting to see if the offer gets approved. The other issue is getting a loan approved. That has been a little nightmare in itself (although Jonathan is the one who does all of that stuff anyway! haha) its still hard just waiting. In the meantime, our lease is up here at our apartment on December 15th, and to sign another lease locks us in for another 6 months, or we can go month-to-month but the monthly rate jumps up to $160 more a month which is just dumb. So we've decided that while we are in limbo time, we will stay with Jonathan's parent for a bit and see what we can do about our house situation! Let's hope it all works out :)
PS- This house is amazing! It's such a good deal! It has 3bedrooms, 2.5baths, 2stories, plus a big bonus room, a perfect sized fenced in backyard with a cute playhouse (for our non-existant children!), and one OVERLY-sized willow tree in the front (we'll have to do some taking care of that if this becomes our home!) Anyway, if it all works out, this house will be amazing!!! If not, hopefully we'll be able to find another good deal, and in the meantime not drive my in-laws [too] crazy!

Jake & Alissa's Wedding
A few weekends ago, Jonathan and I were able to take off work that Saturday for Jonathan's best friend, Jake and his new wifey Alissa's wedding in Pocatello. So we decided to leave the night before and stay with friends in Rexburg so that we could be at the Idaho Falls temple in the morning for the sealing. We started the 5 hour drive and about 20 mins into it realized we had to turn back around because silly Jonathan forgot his Temple recommend! So almost an hour later we RE-start the drive (haha) and were on our way! I was so excited to get to rexburg and see my friends! It also was a very convienent weekend to go because one of my friends from GA, Jordan Foster, who started attending BYU in the fall came up to Rexburg to visit one of our other friends from GA, Shannon Oldroyd, so we got to catch up for a little while when I got into to the Freezing Cold Tundra Land! (minus my friends who I miss there, I do not miss Rexburg at all!!!) Anyways, so my sleepy husband only lasted about an hour 1/2 on the drive before I had to drive the rest of the way, I can't blame him though considering he was up at a rediculous hour that morning for some personal training, and then we finally made it! It was kind of weird though because it was the first night since we have been married that we didn't sleep in the same bed! We didn't have any married friends to stay with, so Jonathan stayed the night with his buddies, and I stayed the night (staying up talking till 3am!) with my girls! It was like we were single again, weird!!!
So after the luncheon in pocatello, there was about 4 hours to spare, so we just had a double day date with another of my favorite couples ever, Ryan & Courtney! We basically just did a lot of shopping and killing time until the reception, but it was fun to spend time with them! (Can't wait to see yall over Thanksgiving break! And, Ryan, I know you feel so special right now that you were mentioned in my blog! haha)
So the reception turned out gorgeous, and after a fun, long day, Jonathan and I were back on the road home. He lasted only another hour 1/2 on the way back before I was stuck being chauffer the rest of the way... From now on I don't plan on doing many more roadtrips that involve driving at night ;)

So in the morning we got ready and drove to Idaho Falls. It was the first time I was able to go to a sealing (other than my own) and it was awesome, I cried a little (haha what else is new)!! Then we took some pictures outside of the temple and congradualted the beautiful couple. Other than taking pictures outside of the temple, I was kind of a bad photographer for the weekend, I didn't get any pictures with my friends or of the luncheon and reception of the wedding so I failed!

We didn't actually even get a picture with the couple until a few weeks later at their open house in Eagle! But we are so happy for them & so excited to have another married couple to go on our married couples cruise one of these years!

All I want for Christmas....
....Is to go to Georgia!!!
For a while it was looking like Jonathan and I were not going to be able to go to GA for Christmas. I was devestated. Not only do we live so far away from my family that the last time we saw them was for our wedding open house, but also Brittany's due date is December 27th, so this also ment that I wouldn't be able to meet my first niece till who knows when! I basically cried at least every other day. Because both Jonathan and I work as managers at the gym, and since by the time Christmas roles around we will have a new schedule (aka more hours) it looked like it was going to be impossible for us both to take a week off because that only left one manger to run the show while we would be gone. So I was starting to prepare myself to not be able to go.
Then, last night, Jonathan tells me while I'm at work that when I get home he has a surprise for me. I hate when he does this because then that becomes all I can think about! So I'm trying to think of things it could be, and trying to keep it on a small scale so I don't get disappointed when I imagined theres some huge surprise only to find something simple, yet sweet, I'm sure! Anyways, so I'm thinking, ok maybe he did all the dishes to surprise me... or actually closed the shower curtain (it drives me nuts when he leaves it open! haha, although he has been getting better at closing it, I have to admit!) or maybe he bought me some flowers or somthing. Then, he comes into the gym to close up with me (cause it can be scary closing by yourself!) and we drive home and he makes sure hes in the door before me, which also tricked me, because as soon as we got in the apartment I couldnt even find anything that would be a surprise (the dishes weren't done... but the shower curtain was closed!!! haha) So then he says he was just joking about making sure he was in the door first and that actually the big surprise was that he bought the tickets for us to fly to Georgia for Christmas!!! Best surprise ever, from the best hubby ever!!!! I'm exstatic! I wanted to call my family as soon as I found out, but it was past midnight there so I had to wait until the morning, which meant I couldn't even fall asleep last night because I just kept smiling I was so excited! Now I get to be with the love of my life, my family & be there for baby Avery for a week around Christmas! And Brittany and I get to blast Mariah Carey's, All I Want For Christmas is You, together!! Jonathan made it all happen & I am so so grateful for him for that!
Except I do feel a little selfish... You see, I was expressing my excitement to him and saying, "Oh my gosh! I can't believe it's actually real! We actually really get to go to Georgia, woohoo!!" and he just smiles and says, "Kaylie, when do you ever not get what you want?" haha it's kind of true, he spoiles me. But we love eachother so it's ok! I'm just so happy and excited and can't wait to be there in just 42 days!!
And as for the Eldredge side, thank you for letting me take Jonathan for Christmas! I wish we could have Christmas with both sides of the family together, but we at least have Thanksgiving, and then Christmas 2011, we are all yours! Love you guys!!!!

Halloween Festivities
So, Halloween this year was fun times! I didn't really have any activity or event to use as an excuse to dress up, but Jonthan and I were able to brainstorm for ideas for next year! We still were festive though! A few nights before Halloween we decided to go get a pumpkin to carve. We were planning on making a date to go to a pumpkin patch and get the biggest pumpkin we could... but then the place was far away and I was tired, so we made a date to the local Albertson's pumpkin patch instead! It was just as fun! (cheaper too ;)) So I picked out the perfect pumpkin, we rented a redbox movie & we came back home to carve the pumpkin:

PS-I have brown hair now if you didn't notice! My sis-in-law Christina did it for me! Gotta love having a hairstylist in the fam!

So then, the following night (night before Halloween), Jonathan's best friends came into town from Rexburg, with their gals, and we had a party! I made a big batch of chili with cornbread, it's kind of a Halloween tradition for me, and then I had some freshly baked pumpkin seeds that Bucky was full of, as well as my homemade bean&corn salsa dip with corn chips, it was a Sunday ritual to have for a while that my mom would always make! As well as we had candy, of course! Then for the last treat, I really wanted to try making caramel apples... turns out that was a harder experiement than I thought it would be! But it was fun, and they tasted great still!

All in all it was a fantastic weekend! The six of us ended our party night by watching a scary movie all snuggled up on one couch! haha, it was great!
