Temple Night

Jonathan's cousin was going through the temple for the first time so we went to the session with all of the extended family. Side not- his cousin is going to Macon, GA for his mission and leaves this upcoming Wednesday!
It was a great night with the family and it felt even a little more special because it was just three days before our 6 month anniversary! (not that we really celebrated!) But it was neat to think that it has already been 6 months since we came out of those same doors after being sealed for eternity!

A (WHITE) Christmas in Georgia!

Christmas Eve Jonathan and I were able to fly to Georgia! I was so excited! We got there at 9pm and were still able to do most of our family's Christmas Eve traditions! -Side note- this was the first trip flying together that we didn't have any flight issues! Yay, we've broken our curse!- Anyway, Ryan, Connor & Summer picked us up (in Ryan's sweet new car by the way) and we hurried home to my Mom, Dad, Brittany & AVERY! It was soooo excited to meet her, she is the sweetest thing in the world! I just had so much fun holding her & staring at her, I'm pretty much obsessed! How could you not be, just look at her!

So we opened our Christmas Eve presants which include a gift from whichever sibling drew our name out of a hat, and jammies of course! I love getting Christmas jammies, one of my favorite traditions! We also skyped with Jordan because we missed him! Then we just hung out for a while and loved on the sweet baby! Christmas morning we were woken up by Summer (we slept till 10! That's a big deal for Christmas!) And then we started the presant opening! Jonathan and I got spoiled with clothes and shoes and accessories, week passes to the gym there, and a snowboarding trip to North Carolina with Connor & Summer! Then, it freaking SNOWED on Christmas day in Georgia, that is a big deal! I heard somewhere that that was the first time since 1886 (or something?) that it had snowed on Christmas day! We played games, stayed in comfies and ate good food all day, it was awesome!

Our whole rest of the trip we were such bums and slept past 10 everyday which was grand! We worked out together, did some shopping, talked about all the projects we can do with our new house, ate some good bbq, and of course some good Chepe's!!

On Wednesday of our trip we drove to North Carolina for our snowboarding/skiing trip! It was waaaaayyy more crowded than it usually is when we've gone before, but we ended up being able to go for a while. It was my first time in a year, and even then I had only gone once so I was definetly rusty! I basically felt like I had been in a car accident the next two days after, but it was worth it! All four of us were able do some sick jumps so it was a good time!

Then was Avery's blessing day. I was so grateful to be able to be there for that. It was such a special evening to feel the spirit and the love surrounding this perfect baby. Ryan & Brittany waited for her for a long time, which made this experience that much more amazing.

 They're just the cutest parents!
Yep, Brittany looks amazing! She just gave birth a week 1/2 prior to this picture!
 Proud Grandparents!

 Precious babe!

I'm so grateful we were able to go to Atlanta for this Christmas. As excited as I was about getting back to our house to get started on fun projects, I was so sad to leave. I still cry about it a little bit sometimes... (right now as a matter of fact)! So Brittany, don't let Avery grow up too fast! And family, I love you all & miss you like crazy!

Two Christmases!!!!!

What more can ya ask for, seriously!
On Christmas Eve, Eve, Jonathan and I spent the night at his parents home and celebrated our Christmas with them then before we left for GA. It was so fun. We ate a fantastic dinner and got to open all of our presants from the family, and then they opened the ones we gave to them! They went over and beyond on us with gifts, it was so exciting! We got a sweet blue-ray player, and some house decor, gift cards to go out on dates, Jonathan got every tool known to man, we both got some great clothes, and I also got some jewlery!
We ended the night with a poker tournament (my first time playing just fyi) and guess who won??? Yours truely!!! I got the mexican fiesta themed gifts that everyone pitched in, which included some of the all time favs-hot tamales, chips & salsa, a cute platter, and some other mexican related things! It was so fun, although I did feel somewhat guilty that I was taking Jonathan away from his family for Christmas. I just wish somehow that we could have Christmas with both families! But I figure we'll switch so next year we'll be with them :)
