Missed my girl

I was so happy to get back to my favorite 2 year old! We had lots of snuggles, park dates, & dance class to catch up on. She's just the cutest little buddy!

Hallie's First Movie!

We had a fun famiy date night out to Costa Vida followed by our first attempt at taking Hal to a movie theater (we just went to a dollar theater and saw Big Hero Six, it was super cute!)

 It was so adorable to see Hallie mesmerized by the big screen so small in her big chair that almost folded up on her and with her big popcorn on her lap!

 She lasted almost the whole first hour so we were happy with that! And then we finished the movie a few weeks later on redbox ;)

OUCH!

So there I am making dinner for Hallie (man n cheese) and had just finished boiling the noodles, I take the pot off the stove and drain the noodles turn around and in the meantime Jonathan has taken a pot out of the drawer beneath the stove and when I turn around I trip over it and catch my fall with my left hand on the hot burner I had just used.... yeah totally seared my palm, it hurt so bad. Like it literally felt "on fire" for a good few hours through the night, I could hardly sleep waking up to the pain, but it's amazing how fast it healed, especially after a priesthood blessing. And luckily it wasn't my right hand :)

Jamaica February 2016

Remember when Jonathan surprised me with a Jamaica trip for Christmas?! Well, February rolled around and it was time! 

I had the hardest time leaving Hallie, this would officially be my longest time away from her (NINE nights!) so I was sad that first day, we flew to Denver and spent the night in a hotel there (cause Boise is so small and there's no same day flights to Jamaica from there. The next day we made it back to the airport, had a stop in Houston then arrived in Montego Bay! 

I'm not going to lie, the resort where we were staying was a bit less than I had expected, and the driving around Montego Bay in the shuttles had me a bit skeptical. That with the rain that first day and eating at a nasty buffet had me second guessing why I left my baby at home and decided to come on this trip so far away from her! BUTTTT everything turned around after that and we had an amazing time! 

Once we got the hang of the shuttles and the best places to eat and making reservations etc we enjoyed relaxing, eating and playing in the sand and sun. The weather really turned around for us after that first day and we lucked out! 

I especially enjoyed my daily (sometimes even more) virgin Pina Colada  

We had some epic dinner dates with some amazing food

We enjoyed our workouts 

Explored each of the three resorts we had access to (Royal Caribbean was the coolest!)

Found neat lunch spots

Went on a "booze cruise" (minus the booze for us of course lol) but had some awesome views and fun on a catamaran, snorkeling in the middle of the ocean, stopping at Jimmy Buffets and playing on the floating slides/trampolines etc 

Summer let us take her Go-Pro and we could never really get it right haha so there's a bunch of funny pictures of us not really ready

Bogus

We got another quick visit from Connor in early February since he wanted to be here for Summer's Patriarchal Blessing, his nice friend from GA, Brycen drove him up here to stay with us and we had a fun weekend together. We did another snowboard sesh, this time up at Bogus and had so much fun!

After that it was great just enjoying the company and experiencing Summer's blessing with her! Love these little sibs of mine :)

Hallie Goes to Dance Class!

In the Winter 2016 Hallie started a little dance class through the Eagle Park's and Rec... her friend Payton joined too and they had fun being wild together. Hallie is such a free spirit and hardly paid attention at all haha but she was hilarious to watch and had a lot of fun!

McCall Snowboarding

I kinda sucked at taking very many pictures of this little adventure... but Connor and Crew were able to come up to visit for a weekend in January 2016 and we decided to make a McCall trip out of it! Hallie stayed with Noni & Papa while Summer, Jonathan, Connor, Crew and I headed to McCall. It was awesome! We stayed in a sick room at the Shore Lodge, Crew even jumped into the snow with just boxers on out of our patio into the huge mounds of snow, it was so funny! We enjoyed a great dinner at our favorite Mexican spot there, then we found a random hill in the snow and we made our own ski hill/ jump, it was hilarious! (and exhausting climbing up the hill with our boards!) Then we came back to the lodge and enjoyed a good hot tub soak!
In the morning we went to a local sacrament meeting together, then up to brundage for our snowboarding adventure! It was so entertaining seeing Connor attempt any and every hill imaginable and biffing it almost every time haha!

On our drive back home we got stuck at a dead stop for a solid extra hour or two in the middle of the canyon due to an accident. Connor stepped outside of the car at one point to go pee and slipped so hard on the ice it was hilarious and vision I'll never forget haha It was and epic trip!

On Monday before they had to head back to Utah, we met up with Christina and did a little bowling and lunch at Big Al's. It was so fun having these guys visit!
